Oops I Did It Again

It's been a long ol' time since I posted something on this blog. I've been slightly more active on my other blog, Izzy K, over the last few months. But due to exams I've kinda neglected the world of reviewing products so I wasn't as active on this blog as I'd like to have been.

So yes, I did it again, I changed the name of my blog. It was only a slight change from "Izzy K: Reviews & More" to this one. You may think that it wasn't even worthwhile me posting this but I thought it was time to post something on here just to let everyone know I'll be back to writing my normal posts next week. And I though that the "chats" fits in better with the theme of this blog because all I really do here is just have a little natter with you guys.

So here was my little update post which was totally worthwhile me writing (note the sarcasm). Thanks for reading if you did haha,

StyleLux Blackhead Killer

A few weeks ago I was looking in the mirror when something hit me... blackheads. Like I mean they didn't literally hit me... I just noticed how gigantic they have become through me wearing heavy foundation everyday and just neglecting my skin in general.

I knew I needed to take action quickly, and luckily for me I came across this 5 pack of Blackhead Killer face masks from StyleLux. These retail for £14.95, and I know that there are much cheaper alternatives out there, which is why I wanted to write this post to explain whether they are worth the price or not.

Here is what I thought about this product:

Application

This product is fairly self explanatory to apply. The packaging is easy to tear open and you can simply use your hands apply this product all over your face. With that said, I do wish there were somewhat more directions about how much product you should apply. I wasn't sure whether to apply it all over my face, or just over my "problem" areas, so I settled for the whole face. I found that this was an effective technique, since there was more than enough product for my whole face.

Excuse my expression, but this is what it looks like whilst drying

Formula

I must say that the actual formular of this product was a lot more runny than I thought it would be when I first started to apply it. I'm not complaining though, since it made it easy to apply a smooth layer around my whole face. It then started to dry in a sort of rubbery sticky texture, before turning into quite a tight mask. It was oddly satisfying having that tight sensation on my face whilst not really being able to move it haha!

How well does it work?

The question you've been waiting for! Personally, I found that this took more than 10 minutes to completely dry, unlike what it said on the packaging. But it only took around 15-20 minutes so overall it is still a quick process. And actually taking it off felt like ripping my skin off, but again in an oddly satisfying way. I truly felt like all my skins impurities had been removed and I was left with a baby-fresh face. Not only did it remove all my biggest blackheads, it also removed anything else clogging up my pores and also my spots. The next morning I woke up feeling like I had been blessed with brand new skin.

So here was my review of my first ever blackhead removal mask, and I must say I really enjoyed using it. It works wonders from the first use. I would rate this a 9/10 and again, I do kinda wish it told you where to apply the product and how much, but that's just me being pedantic. I definitely think this is the sort of product to be ideal for all skin types, even dry since it didn't dry my skin out at all which I was surprised about. I will most definitely be using this product again. Have you ever tried these face masks before? If so let me know in the comments,
