P.S. Love Natural Look Lashes

Eyelashes have become my new obsession and needless to say I cant stop buying false ones. I spotted these Natural Look Lashes for just £1 at Primark and I just couldn't resist trying them out.
For their extremely cheap price, I must say they do a good job. They are easy to apply (even I managed to do it) and come with glue in the pack. Like most lashes, you can trim them down to fit your eye size. Also, if you remove them well, they are reusable.
The eyelashes and glue

There were another 2 types of lashes by this brand but they were a bit bolder and thicker looking. I decided I would try the "natural" look first. However, I'm not sure how natural they look or feel. The lashes them self look very long and a bit exagerated. They look great when applied with a bit of eyeliner for a dressed up look. However, you wouldnt be fooling anybody by saying they were real!

I have a cold and look really ill so I'm not going to show my whole face but here's what they look like on:
Let's just imagine I bothered to put makeup on
and pretend that I don't look like a mess!

Next time I'm at Primark I will definitely be getting a few more, because for that price I might as well eh? I would rate these affordable lashes a 7/10.

First Episode Of Glue

I'm so excited to finally be able to write this post. Me and my sister have both been looking forward to this programme ever since we first saw the trailer.

The first thing that drew me in about "Glue" was the cast as I recognised most of them. Annie is played by
Jessie Cave, who played Lavender Brown in Harry Potter. Rob is played by Jordan Stevens, part of the singing duo Rizzle Kicks. Ruth and Cal are played by Yasmin Paige and Tommy Knight who are both known for their lead roles in The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Glue is set in a small, English village in the countryside. This eight-part series revolves around the mystery of a body found in the fields. The plot is about a tight group of friends, who are all trying to deal with the effects of what appears to be a murder. No one knows who the murderer is, yet alone why they did it or if they'll do it again.

The first episode set the scene and introduced the main characters. It ended on a cliffhanger, as mysteries do, making it clear that the group's lives will change forever.

If mysteries and crimes are your sort of thing (as in you like watching shows about it, not just in general) then you should definitely tune into E4 on Monday at 10pm.

This is exactly the sort of thing I obsess over quickly. I just feel sorry for my friends who are going to have to put up with me constantly talking about Glue for the next few weeks!

Did anybody else watch the first episode of Glue? If so what did you think?

Apocalips

I decided to buy a new lip gloss to build up my lip collection.

The one I ended up getting was Apocalips by Rimmel. The price was £6.49 which is around the same price as the mascara I usually get. I somehow managed to stay away from the mascara though, which is a success for me because I'm too addicted to buying it.

Apocalips in "Shooting Star"

Apocalips comes in an interesting design. It's fairly small and light so easy to slip into your purse (that probably sounds like I stole it but I promise I paid for it).

The colour is shown at the bottom, making it easy to distinguish between the many different shades they offer. When you take the lid off, it scrapes away any access lip gloss, which ensures that none is wasted.

This is my first "lip lacquer" and is nothing like I've ever tried before. Imagine having a something that's like lipstick and lipgloss mixed together. That's what Apocalips is! I no longer have to find matching lipgloss and lipstick to wear together.

One Layer in the colour "Shooting Star"

As for the formula itself, it's thick and lasts for almost twice as long as anything I've ever tried before. It even manages to stay on whenever I have a drink or snack, which trust me, is a lot!

Something I always enjoy about lip products is the taste. That's where Apocalips seemed to let me down. For some reason I imagined that it would have a delicious flavour like vanilla or something. Unfortunately it does not. Its not a particularly bad taste, but it could be a lot better.

I would rate Apocalips a high 8/10. I'm also looking forward to trying the matte version Rimmel have just brought out.

Thank you very much for reading. I'll answer any questions in the comments xxx

Scandaleyes Mascara

As you will start to notice if you carry on reading my blog, I have a slight huge obsession for mascara. Scandaleyes is a mascara that I have used for a while now, so I decided I would share my thoughts on it.

This mascara is by
Rimmel and is the price of £6.99. The unique packaging is what made this product stand out to me. It comes in a thick, bright orange case, unlike any other brand on the market.

The actual brush itself is thick too. This makes application easy as each eyelash is covered quickly, leaving your eyes looking extremely volumised.

Another thing that impressed me was the formula of the mascara itself. There is a dark black version of this mascara available, but I feel that this shade is dark enough to make your eyes stand out anyway. I also found that it lasted all day long without drying up or smudging. As you can imagine, that makes life a lot easier as there is no need to keep applying it all day long.

There are only minor things about this mascara that stop me rating it a 10/10. Firstly, the formula focuses on thickness of the eyelashes but it would be nice if it focused on adding length too. Also, because it is a thick brush, it can leave clumps if you don't have naturally spaced out eyelashes. But that's just me being picky!

Nevertheless, this is one of my all time favourite mascaras. I definitely think I will be buying it for many years to come. I highly recommend it and would rate it
8/10.

Thank you for reading. What's your favourite mascara?

Baby Lips Lip Balm

This was a product that I had very high hopes for before I brought it. After being convinced my sister, I decided to make a purchase. I brought Hydrate but I believe there are another 5 to choose from.

Baby Lips in "Hydrate"

Baby Lips is by Maybelline and costs £2.99. I either love products by Maybelline or find they don't match the standards of other brands.

A few months ago everyone was seemed to be obsessed with Baby Lips. Personally, I never saw the big deal about them but gave it a go anyway. Admittedly this product makes your lips soft right after application. The taste itself is also good, but I believe the flavoured variations are even better.

However, I definitely think these lip balms are overrated and people only brought them because they were popular. I thought that they made my lips soft for a while, but after a couple of hours they were completely dried out. That meant I had to apply more to moisturise them, but then they were dried out again in no time! Although it's not a bad marketing technique, I'd rather not have to keep purchasing the same product over and over to stop it making my lips worse.

My favourite lip balm would still have to be Velvet Rose by Nivea.

I rate Baby Lips Hydrate a 4/10 and will not be repurchasing it as it was not something that particularly impressed me.

Thanks for reading. What did you think of Baby Lips?
